Compete 360
Congratulations to all of the teams who presented at Design Thinking Philadelphia's Compete 360!
Compete 360 fosters a design thinking (DT) practice in city schools by training teachers and by facilitating student-led projects that address a problem in the classroom, school, or community. Compete 360 also hosts the DT Philly Challenge (grades 6-12) and the DT Philly Showcase (grades K-5), where students share their projects with professionals from the design and business communities.
Compete 360's priority is to work with under-resourced public schools, helping students engage in inquiry-driven learning and helping teachers bring new practices to their classrooms. There is no fee to participate in DT Philly. Training, curricula, supply kits, and project support are provided free of charge to participating schools.
For more information about how you can get involved, visit www.compete360.org or contact Andrew Ferrarelli. Andrew mentored the DIY Mastbaum team, which proposed a small fitness center to help improve wellness in their school. You can also follow them on twitter @compete360.
Congratulations to all the participating teams!
