A national investment partnership seeks to establish a national chain of boutique hotels for young professional travelers selected Stanev Potts to lead a team to study the programmatic, structural, and financial feasibility of various build-out strategies on a site in old city. Rapid massing iterations with different bed counts and room types resulted in multiple schemes that could then go through construction cost and schedule modeling.
The final recommendation was to retain the most historical portions of the buildings and combine them with a new mid-rise, leaving both open site space and original character to create a location-specific, yet current design.
